You already know that divorce can be one of life’s most stressful events.  Even with your specialized training and experience your excellent advice and guidance may not be taken. You can be compliance perfect and still have a client who ends up living with the consequences of their poor choices.

This session offers a new view and a new approach to guiding clients through their four stages of divorce transitions. How to help them pause, get a broad balcony view of their circumstances and choices, and find their more graceful and clear-thinking selves.

Divorce is usually a long process, knowing how to take breaks for a balcony view may restore perspective, energy, and long-term thinking may help you and your clients thrive even during tough times. The subtleties inherent in the transit from one way of life to another are easily missed when we focus only on formal processes designed for technical requirements and efficiency.
It is possible to add another way of working with divorcing clients that compliments and informs the technical side.

Approved for One (1) hour of CDFA and CFP CE Credit.

Please note that the conference is live and in-person in Dallas, TX. All schedules shown in the conference agenda are in central standard, and you may access the agenda document via the "handouts" tab of your conference package registration. Please contact the Fairmont Dallas at 214-720-5315 to book a stay for the conference.
