The webinar is designed to provide CDFAs with ideas and pointers in how to address certain QDRO issues without incurring a liability. A slight change in verbiage means tens of thousands of dollars difference whether the language of the settlement agreement is at issue or the QDRO itself. The webinar is based on 34 years of being retained in legal malpractice as it relates to QDROs and settlement agreements. Even when one attorney retains another to prepare a QDRO, when an erroneous distribution is made, finger pointing begins. You can resolve these issues, or avoid these issues, with some very simple rules.
