40-Hour Mediation Training for CDFAs® (Certificate Program)

This immersive 40-hour live virtual mediation course is designed for professionals who want practical, real-world mediation skills they can apply immediately. Taught by Kristine Reich, an experienced law professor who has taught mediation courses nationwide, this program combines academic rigor with hands-on skill development.

The course is delivered over a two-week intensive format, with live instruction on Mondays and Tuesdays and half-day sessions on Wednesdays during both weeks. Participants engage in extensive role-play exercises, guided feedback, and interactive discussions that reflect the realities of divorce and family-law mediation.

Because effective mediation training requires active participation and individualized instruction, enrollment is strictly limited to 24 participants. This small-group format ensures meaningful engagement, personalized feedback, and a high-quality learning experience.

While the course is designed with CDFA® professionals in mind, CDFA certification is not required to enroll. Financial professionals, legal professionals, and other divorce-adjacent practitioners seeking mediation training are welcome.

Course highlights include:

  • Live, instructor-led virtual training
  • Extensive, structured mediation role-play
  • Practical techniques grounded in real-world divorce scenarios
  • Small-group learning with individualized feedback
  • Intensive two-week format totaling 40 instructional hours

This course is ideal for professionals who want more than theory — and are ready to build confidence, competence, and credibility as divorce mediators.

Certificate Awarded

Upon successful completion of the full 40-hour program, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion verifying mediation training hours. Due to the role play requirements of the course, enrollment is strictly capped at 24 participants per class.
