Divorce Between Business Owners will examine the unique problems and issues surrounding divorce between the co-owners of businesses, including the varying interests and dynamics presented by different forms of business organization. Special attention will be paid to operating agreements, business succession, and other practical concerns.
James Dodge
James Dodge joined the faculty of Concord Law School at Purdue University Global (then part of Kaplan University) in 2000, where he teaches and serves as the subject matter expert for Corporations and Business Organizations. He also teaches in Contracts, Real Property, and Estates, Wills, and Trusts. Professor Dodge’s research has been published in a number of law journals and professional publications, and has been focused most recently on limited liability partnerships, limited liability companies, and the growth of entity treatment for partnership-based forms of business organization. He is also a Commissioner of the Uniform Laws Commission, serving on drafting committees for the Uniform Fiduciary Income and Principal Act, the Common Interest Ownership Act, and the Uniform Condominium Act. Professor Dodge earned his JD from Southern Illinois University’s School of Law.
