Tessa is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, and Chartered Special Needs Consultant® (ChSNC®). She is the Co-Owner of Next Step Divorce Solutions, LLC and Next Step Financial Transitions, LLC. Tessa has always had a passion to serve others and to help families like her own, to navigate the financial and daily challenges that come with having a child with special needs.

Her younger brother, T.J., who is now 34 years old has special needs stemmed from seizures that started when he was an infant. T.J. now and will always require full time care. She continues to witness firsthand the day to day and ongoing challenges families, like hers, face with little to no guidance available.

After graduating from Texas Tech University with a degree in Personal Financial Planning, she jumped in to the independent/broker dealer world. In 2017, she obtained the CDFA® designation and found her platform to begin specifically reaching families that have children with special needs. She has an overwhelming desire to make sure families with children that have special needs are properly informed about available resources, as well as the ins and outs of properly structuring a divorce settlement that coordinates with government aid assistance programs.
